La Vista High School

The Assistance League of Fullerton serves as the parent support group and community support for this alternative education high school. This school is located close to California State University at Fullerton. It is open for application to students who have fallen behind in their course studies in pursuit of their high school diploma. The school requires the students to agree to attendance standards and scholastic goals. Many of the students choose to graduate from La Vista even after they have caught up with their respective grade levels because of the learning atmosphere at La Vista High School.

In addition, small quarterly incentive awards for academic improvement are given. At the end of the year, one (1) scholarships is awarded to the outstanding graduate for their selected college or vocational program. Vision screening is provided in partnership with the Southern California College of Optometry for all students. Students whose eyesight needs retesting by a professional are referred to optometrists or ophthalmologists. If they are unable to purchase frames and lenses, Assistance League of Fullerton will provide financial assistance.
