The thrift shop for the Assistance League of Fullerton is known as the Bargain Box. It is run by an all volunteer staff and all voting members are required to volunteer one day or two half days each month. At least half of the membership volunteers many more hours than the requirement, by sorting through the donations and marking the merchandise for resale. Our nonvoting and auxiliary members also work in the thrift store many hours. The store is staffed by the Assisteens® Auxiliary on Saturdays.
The Bargain Box generates two thirds of the funds needed to implement the philanthropic programs of Assistance League of Fullerton. Most of the items sold in the store are donated by the public. The store merchandise includes men's, women's and children's clothing. The store also carries vintage items such as purses and hats, collectibles, jewelry and household goods. Furniture is offered on a space available basis. The Bargain Box is always a hub of activity for Assistance League members as well as regular customers. Please email us if you would like to be added to our mailing list for notice on our upcoming sales.
Our regular store hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. We are open on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. We are closed Sundays and Mondays.
During the summer, from June through August, we are open Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We are closed Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays during the summer months.
