COMMUNITY SERVICE DAY MARCH 4, 2010

Assistance League of Fullerton celebrates 70 years' of service with their second Community Service Day on March 4, 2010.

Assistance League of Fullerton Members, Assistors Auxiliary Members and Assistance League of Fullerton Professional Humanitarian Auxiliary Members united to display their philanthropic programs with an invitation to the community, business leaders, school officials, city, county and congressional leaders to share breakfast and a program commemorating 70 years of service to the communities of Brea, Buena Park, Fullerton, La Habra, Placentia and Yorba Linda. 

President Sue Sherard accepted certificates of recognition of service from Congressman Ed Royce's office, presented by Ryan Hougardy, the City of Fullerton, presented by Mayor Pro-tem Pam Keller and the Fullerton Chamber of Commerce, presented by Theresa Harvey.

The breakfast quiches were donated by Polly's Pies of Fullerton, a donation much appreciated by Assistance League of Fullerton and enjoyed by all.  A Power Point Presentation highlighted the philanthropic programs, numbers of clients served and the amount returned to the community.
